Wow! I am speechless. I can't believe how good those scans are. The black and white scan was perfect -- you got every bit of detail. It's beautiful.

But it was the color scan that really floored me. Keep in mind that this is the third time I've paid to have it scanned. The difference between the other scans and yours is shocking -- your scans actually look like the original slide!

Collectors of my photography have long asked me for considerably larger prints of certain images. And although I've turned many requests away, I knew the time would come when I'd be able to offer larger versions. I considered buying the equipment and training myself to make these larger versions, but eventually I decided to look for a master printer who had the requisite skills and equipment to make excellent larger prints for me. The right person would be a skilled black and white photographer, a master printer, and an expert of computer digital imaging technology. Also, it would have to be someone who I liked and trusted. I had been looking for this someone for a while. Well, he has shown up and his name is Lenny Eiger.

Lenny Eiger of Eiger Studios in Petaluma has had an illustrious career in photography both as a teacher, and as a fine artist himself. His New York business produced platinum prints for many other fine artists. Now, in his second incarnation, he has become a master of what I call "hybrid" photo-digital technology. Lenny takes large format silver negatives, scans them on the best drum scanner in the business, and then using his high level computer skills, he produces master digital files for inkjet printing. The equipment and materials he uses are the best in the business, and the inksets and paper are archival, projected to last over 100 years. But, more to the point, Lenny just makes flat out gorgeous photographs! He is making my new large prints, and I couldn't be more pleased.
